ABCOR® KOCHKLEEN® KOCHTREAT® FLUID SYSTEMS® ROMICON®

Welcome to The KMS Fleet of Flagship Brands

Products and services carrying the widely recognized Koch Membrane Systems (KMS) name assure you of more than 35 years of advanced membrane innovation. Our ever-evolving, long-established brands have made us a major global resource for the finest membrane technology solutions in the field.

ABCOR® Tubular Membrane Products
In 1963, a company known as Abcor Inc., was founded by a group of forward thinking individuals intent on developing commercial processes based on separation and purification technologies. In 1986, the company legally changed its name to Koch Membrane Systems, Inc., but the ABCOR® brand name was retained. Today the ABCOR brand name refers to the complete KMS line of tubular MF and UF products.

The KMS ABCOR line of tubular membrane products represents the latest generation of industrial products that are a result of over 35 years of tubular membrane development. ABCOR is one of the first names in membrane technology and still the industry leader for tubular membrane products designed for the most challenging membrane separation applications. The ABCOR family of tubular membrane products include:
•  FEG™ and FEG™ PLUS tubes with 1" diameter UF membranes
•  ULTRA-COR® tubes with multiple 1/2" diameter UF membranes

KOCHKLEEN® Membrane Cleaners

KOCHKLEEN® membrane cleaners are the result of more than 35 years of KMS membrane technology experience. They are specially formulated to cost-effectively treat the organic and inorganic foulants impacting with all leading membrane filtration applications and commercial membrane products. What's more, they are an ideal choice for tubular, spiral, hollow-fiber, or flat sheet configurations used for microfiltration (MF), ultrafiltration (UF), nanofiltration (NF) and reverse osmosis (RO) membranes. Contact KMS to learn which KOCHKLEEN membrane cleaners and cleaning procedure will best solve your potable water; industrial water; food dairy and beverage; electrocoat or pharmaceutical process problems.

KOCHTREAT® Antiscalants
KOCHTREAT® antiscalants are the perfect complement to KOCHKLEEN membrane cleaners. KMS, the leading manufacturer of RO and NF membrane systems, formulates its KOCHTREAT antiscalants to deliver cost-effective foulant protection matched to your feedwater chemistry. You can have confidence that dosing with KOCHTREAT antiscalants will improve RO system productivity, reduce system operating costs and prolong membrane life. Let KMS analyze your feed water chemistry and recommend the products and dose rates to cost-effectively control scale.

FLUID SYSTEMS® Spiral Membrane Elements
Modern reverse osmosis membrane technology began at, Fluid Systems Inc. (FSI), early in the 1960's. After FSI was acquired by KMS in 1998, the pioneering spirit of FSI was embodied into the FLUID SYSTEMS® line of spiral membrane elements. From the first FLUID SYSTEMS® spiral RO element patented in 1967 to the recent introduction of the world's largest spiral element (the 18" diameter x 60" long MegaMagnum®  Element), no other company has a longer list of "firsts". Today, the complete KMS line of FLUID SYSTEMS spirals includes MF, UF, NF and RO elements. In the FLUID SYSTEMS family are:
•  TFC® NF and RO elements
•  ROGA® Chlorine Resistant, Cellulose Acetate UF and RO elements
•  PES UF Chlorine Tolerant UF elements
•  SelRO® acid, alkaline and solvent stable NF elements
•  Sanitary UF, NF and RO elements for dairy and other food applications
•  KPAK™ UF elements for electrocoat paint recover

ROMICON® Hollow Fiber Membrane Cartridges
Since 1973, Romicon Inc. has been a leader in the development of hollow fiber membrane technology for industrial, food and municipal applications. In 1991, KMS acquired Romicon Inc. Now, ROMICON®  refers to the broad KMS family of hollow fiber MF and UF products. With proven experience that spans decades, ROMICON  hollow fiber cartridges are the performance leaders in a variety of industrial, food, juice, beverage and potable water applications. The KMS family of ROMICON  hollow fiber cartridges includes:
•  PMPW™ and PMPW™-10 UF cartridges for potable water applications
•  TARGA® and TARGA®-10 UF cartridges for industrial water applications
•  ROMIPURE® UF cartridges for industrial water applications
•  Sanitary polysulfone UF cartridges for juice, citrus and pharmaceutical applications
•  Sanitary polysulfone MF cartridges for wine filtration
•  PAN membranes for industrial wastewater treatment

PURON® Submerged Hollow Fiber Modules
Koch Membrane Systems GmbH (formerly Puron AG) developed the unique submerged membrane technology used in PURON® modules for membrane bioreactors (MBR).  Characterized by bundles of fibers fixed in a single header at their lower ends, with the fibers sealed at their upper ends, these modules are submerged into biological sludge and produce a high quality filtrate.  This design greatly minimizes fouling and clogging, produces stable flux and consumes less energy than other submerged systems.  The PURON® MBR technology is ideal for treating both municipal and industrial wastewater.
